Tackling the challenge of distance learning alone is daunting. That’s why the developers of Amplify Science and the Making Sense of SCIENCE project at WestEd have partnered to develop a remote Amplify Science Professional Learning Providers Academy.
The academy is designed to build a community of professional learning providers. At its core are monthly facilitation academies which leave you prepared to lead 90-minute remote professional learning sessions for teachers of Amplify Science. Each session will dig into a different topic such as formative assessment, boosting engagement, and supporting student discourse for in-person, hybrid, and remote learning. There will also be opportunities for discussions of problems of practice from the field, investigations into the tips and tricks of facilitating teacher learning at distance, and direct access to advice and technical assistance from the developers of Amplify Science and the Making Sense of SCIENCE professional learning team.
